This model is made using 6 colors of paper. Each of the 12 points leaves out 1 color, and the points on opposite sides of the model have the same color arrangements. The color scheme is the same as the one I used for the stellated icosahedron. (Because the dodecahedron and icosahedron are dual shapes, a coloring scheme for the edges of one also gives a coloring scheme for the edges of the other!)
